Elixir Gems is a trading company that deals in natural gemstones. It was founded in Afghanistan in 2015. Our journey began with a significant milestone in 2018 when we established the country's first cutting and polishing center in Kabul. We hired five skilled workers from India and Pakistan to train local workers. Within a year, we successfully increased the number of skilled workers to 27, which was enough to operate a gemstone processing center in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Elixir Gems is proud to have broken barriers in a traditionally male-dominated industry and become the first gemstone processing center in Afghanistan led by a woman. Their commitment to quality craftsmanship and empowerment knows no bounds.

Afghanistan is known for its rich resources of precious and semi-precious gemstones, including the famous Panjshir Emerald, Jigdalak Ruby, Tourmaline, Lapis, and others.

After the Taliban took over Afghanistan in 2022, the founder of Elixir Gems was forced to flee to Canada. Nevertheless, she remained steadfast in her commitment to her business. Her first step was to register the company in British Columbia and start operations in 2022. Since then, Elixir Gems has been actively participating in gemstone shows throughout Canada, while also exploring new markets and business opportunities. Despite the distance, their factory headquarters in Afghanistan remain active, ensuring the continued sourcing and importation of high-quality gemstones and jewelry.

Our goal is simple: to make luxury accessible to everyone at reasonable prices. We're not just retailers; we mine, trade rough stones directly from the source, and cut and polish them ourselves. We're manufacturers, and we're passionate about bringing you the best gems from all around the world.
