Elixir Gems is a gemstone trading and manufacturing company specializing in natural, ethically sourced gemstones. Founded in Afghanistan in 2015, the company was built on a deep respect for craftsmanship, heritage, and transparency in the global gemstone trade.

In 2018, Elixir Gems achieved a major milestone by establishing Afghanistan’s first professional cutting and polishing center in Kabul. Experienced artisans from India and Pakistan were brought in to train local talent, transferring skills that had never before been formally developed in the country. Within a year, the operation grew from five trainees to 27 skilled gemstone cutters and polishers, forming a fully functional gemstone processing center.

Elixir Gems is proud to be the first woman-led gemstone processing center in Afghanistan, breaking long-standing barriers in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Empowerment, skill-building, and fair opportunity remain core values that shape how the company operates.

Afghanistan is renowned for its rich deposits of precious and semi-precious gemstones, including Panjshir emeralds, Jigdalak rubies, tourmaline, lapis lazuli, and other rare stones. Elixir Gems works directly at the source, maintaining close relationships with miners and artisans to ensure authenticity, ethical sourcing, and strict quality control.

In 2022, Elixir Gems expanded its operations internationally and officially registered in British Columbia, Canada. Since then, the company has actively participated in gemstone exhibitions across Canada while building partnerships and serving clients worldwide. Our sourcing and craftsmanship roots remain connected to Afghanistan, allowing us to continue working directly with trusted suppliers and skilled artisans.
